What is FULL MOON PARTY?

FULL MOON PARTY is an all-night party that is held on the night of every full moon. It takes place in Haad Rin, on the island of Ko Pha Ngan, Thailand….and best of all, its a beach party.

It all started in 1985, when a group of 20 to 30 tourists went to Ko Pha Ngan for a vacation and held a small party there during full moon. They discovered that the island is where the moon is the most beautiful. The full moon party then gained popularity, and now every year, people go there to celebrate the full moon. Now, up to 10,000 people from all over the world visit the place every year to celebrate the full moon party.

The party starts at dusk.

Small tables are arranged on the beach and thousands of lamps are lit for the people to enjoy the view of the beautiful moon.

As the evening continues, the beach explodes into a dancing outburst. DJs will be there to play all sort of music…trance, techno, drum and bass, commercial dance, reggae, you name it…no one is disappointed. There are also jugglers and fire-eaters to entertain the crowds, plus, with the brilliant impromptu fireworks display, the party atmosphere is complete.

After a few hours, it is time to chill out for a while. There are many beach traders where people can grab a drink or a bite to eat. Or they can just sit down and enjoy the sea breeze or maybe wade out in the warm surf of the Gulf of Thailand. Absolute and pure heaven.

After a few hours of chillin’….the party continues.

Chilled and revived…it is time to return to the main beach for more music and dancing. There are no barriers here, no inhibitions…..just people enjoying themselves with one unified intention…..that is to rejoice in the magic that is the paradise of FULL MOON PARTY!

Tips to Full Moon Party :

Tip #1: DO NOT bring your passport to the party. Beach = lots of sand…not a good place to lose anything especially your passport. Make a copy of your passport that you can bring along with you to the party but REMEMBER to keep your original passport in the hotel safe.

Tip #2: It is advisable not to bring any of your valuables such as handphones or bags. Cameras are okay, just make sure not to lose them after taking so many beautiful and memorable pictures. There are thousands of people there…you will never catch the thief…or thieves.

Tip #3: Bring enough money for food and drinks. But make sure to keep your money somewhere safe, preferably attached to you…..at all times.

Tip #4: Be sure to have your hotel contact details….just in case you get lost.

Tip #5: Wear comfortable shoes….the possibilities of broken glasses lying around on the beach is very high. Forget about expensive shoes….cheap ones will do, no one will be concentrating on what you are wearing on your feet.

Tip #6: Never accept any food or drinks offered by strangers….period.

Tip #7: No matter what anyone says……..keep away from drugs……..even if they are given for free.

Tip #8: CHILL…..DANCE…..and HAVE FUN!!!!

Yes….it has been a while, and we are very sorry for that. We have been busy since the last post, which is why we have been very quiet. Just to inform all of you…all of the items that we have posted previously have all been sold. And due to this…the Brusurf Outfitters would like to thank every one of you who have given us your support and for believing in us. We are happy to know that there are people out there who have a great sense of fashion…and not to mention, who knows how to have fun too!

Am sure all of you are wondering when are we going to post up more items. Well, as for now…the Brusurf Outfitters members are going to take a short break. Not to worry….it will not be that long, we just need to go on a vacation for a while before we go shopping again. Remember…..as we have mentioned before, we love to have fun. So after all the hardwork and busy times, we need to chill for a while….sit back, relax, go to the beach and enjoy the sun and the waves.
